I read some of Father Frank this weekend and read some very interesting things about the Pro-Life Movement. And I just so happened to read about the "Conscientious Objection." So what is this "Conscientious Objection?"
Well, we all know what our conscience is, right? This is when we use our own judgment to figure out what's right and what's wrong. And our abortion facilities need certain services to stay in business, don't they? They need construction workers, exterminators, food service, plumbers, electricians... the list goes on. Father Frank thinks it's time for these workers to take up a "Conscientious Objection" and not service a facility if they know they perform abortions there.
It's a silent kind of protest. This kind of objection and refusal of service will tell these abortion facilities that we will not take part in their efforts to kill our unborn children.
Father Frank says: "It takes a village to kill a child, and we don't have to participate!" He has some good insights, doesn't he?
I read it as well and I think Father made a wonderful point.. I often wonder.. what "more" can we do to help in the pro life movement.. well.. this can help and my hubby is an Electrician with his own business and he won't do work at any abortion clinics, planned parenthood, etc. if more would do this.. we would indeed make them stop and think!!
ReplyDeleteI know, I always feel like there's something "more" I can do. But I think doing these little things will add up for sure. I would hope that this kind of action would make these clinics stop and think. But their conscience needs to be in the right place to begin to feel that what they are doing hurts people. And I think that as long as we tell our children it's wrong, pray, take part in this however our life allows, is the most we can do.
